Who we are and what this covers
Freightskills LLC operates freightskills.com. This notice covers our public training website, resource requests, related emails, and student portal at members.freightskills.com. Third-party services have their own privacy notices.
Information we collect
- Resource requests: first and last name, email address, the guide requested, and a phone number only if you choose to provide one.
- Request records: request identifier, time, approximate country supplied by our hosting provider, email preference, disclosure version, and whether delivery to our email provider succeeded.
- Messages: information you choose to include when you email us or reply to our emails.
- Website operation: our hosting and security providers process technical information such as IP address, browser, requested URL, and request time to deliver and protect the site.
- With your analytics permission: Google Analytics processes cookie identifiers, device/browser information, approximate location, pages visited, resource-signup events, and interactions with resource links. Our analytics events do not include the names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contents entered into our forms.
Student accounts and working tools
When you use the student portal, we process your name, email, password hash, verification and session records, enrollment permissions, learning progress, saved quotes, prospect notes, and other workspace information you choose to save. Passwords are hashed; we do not store your readable password. These records support your account, access to purchased or assigned courses, and the tools you request. Administrators can manage course content, enrollment, and student progress.
Railway hosts the portal, its PostgreSQL database, and private file storage. Resend delivers account verification and password-reset emails. Vimeo processes information when course videos load. If you use Freightskills GPT, your question, relevant conversation history, and selected training material are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer; web search may also be used. Chat history is saved to your account. Avoid entering sensitive personal information, passwords, or confidential customer data into AI questions. AI answers may be inaccurate and require human review. The portal does not load the public website’s Google Analytics tag. Payment processing is not currently offered through the public checkout preview; we will update this notice when that changes.
How and why we use information
We use request information to provide the resource, deliver requested emails, maintain your preferences, respond to you, diagnose delivery problems, and protect our services. If you choose analytics, we use it to understand which content and resources are useful. Where applicable, our legal bases are performance of your request or contract, consent for optional tracking and marketing where required, legitimate interests in security, service administration and responding to enquiries, and compliance with legal obligations.
Resource delivery and marketing emails
For visitors identified as being in the United States, the resource form clearly explains that requesting a guide also subscribes you to Freightskills training and resource emails. For other visitors, including an unknown location, marketing is a separate optional unchecked choice. You can get your resource without opting into marketing. We record that preference. The optional phone field does not enroll you in SMS or automated calls.
You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email or email us. We may retain the minimum suppression record needed to respect your choice. Requested service replies and essential account or transaction messages, if applicable, are separate from marketing. ActiveCampaign may record email delivery, opens and link clicks; open detection can be inaccurate because of email-provider privacy features.
Who receives information
- Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, security, and the resource-request database.
- ActiveCampaign receives resource-request contact information and email preferences to deliver resources and manage email communications.
- Google receives analytics information only when you permit analytics. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not enable advertising personalization, Google Signals, or enhanced-conversion collection through this website's analytics setup.
- YouTube receives information when you choose to load a video. Videos use the youtube-nocookie.com player, but choosing to play still connects to Google/YouTube.
- Skool receives information if you choose to visit or join the community there. Our resource form does not submit your details to Skool.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or a successor business may receive information where necessary for legal obligations, protection of rights, or a business transfer with appropriate safeguards and notices.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use these forms for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Third-party sites have their own privacy terms.
Your choices and rights
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to accept or reject analytics and change your choice. A browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps analytics off. You may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, restriction, or objection to processing by emailing luis@freightskills.com. Rights and exceptions depend on your location and applicable law. We will verify requests proportionately, respond within applicable legal deadlines, and explain any denial and available appeal. To appeal, reply with “Privacy appeal.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights. An authorized agent may contact us; we may request proof of authority. Do not send passwords or government identification in your initial request.
If applicable, you may complain to your state privacy regulator or data-protection authority, including the authority where you live or work in the EEA, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Retention, security, and international processing
See our data retention policy for categories, review periods, deletion, and exceptions. We use HTTPS, access restrictions, and service-provider security controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where cross-border transfer rules apply, we must use appropriate safeguards such as applicable contractual protections or an eligible transfer framework; contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
Children
This professional training website is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 or target children. If you believe a child supplied information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Changes and contact
We update this notice when our practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required, and new consent will be requested where required. Contact Freightskills LLC using the details below.
